Ansell Releases 2023 Sustainability Report and 2023 Labour Rights Report

Melbourne, Australia, 1st September 2023 - Ansell, a global leader in safety solutions has released its 2023 Sustainability Report* and 2023 Labour Rights Report (and Modern Slavery Statement). This Sustainability Report 2023 details our FY23 accomplishments and plans for FY24 and beyond.

In the 2023 Sustainability Report, Ansell outlines our progress on our ambitions that emphasise its commitment to sustainable practices and social responsibility, including:

  • 14% increase in Lost Time Injury (LTI) incidents (0.059 rate) and 43% decrease in Medical Treatment Injury incidents (0.092 rate) for safer workplaces.
  • Implementation of a 60-hour work week at Ansell plants (8 out of 14 plants today) ** as part of Ansell’s initiatives to ensure secure and decent work.
  • Progress in rolling-out our Supplier Management Framework to mitigate third-party labour rights risks.
  • 29% utilization of renewable electricity across our plants.
  • Ansell joined Climate Group’s RE100 and EP100 initiatives and signed MoU with IUCN to begin critical work on biodiversity.
  • All Ansell manufacturing plants achieving Zero Waste to Landfill*** compliance, except for new plants in Malaysia (Ansell Seremban) and India (Ansell Kovai).
  • Designing 70% of new products with reduced environmental impact.
  • Post-process optimisation, improving the environmental footprint of existing products.
